Even as manufacturers improve smartphone durability, going without a case remains a risky endeavor. It only takes one drop to shatter your screen or dent your device’s structure, ruining it and racking up a hefty repair bill. That’s why I always recommend using a case for your smartphone, no matter how careful you are. With the release of Samsung’s new foldables, I’ve gathered the best Galaxy Z Fold 8 cases available now below.
Pickings are slim for foldables, especially new ones. The phones are just more complicated, with hinges, external screens, and other hardware to account for, so the market isn’t saturated with options at launch. That said, you can still find protective options from Samsung, Spigen, Otterbox, and more.
The best Galaxy Z Fold 8 Cases
Remember that the Z Fold 8 doesn’t feature a built-in magnet — to use MagSafe accessories like phone grips and car mounts, you’ll need to choose a case with one. All of the options below are compatible, but only some feature hinge protection.
What is the best Galaxy Z Fold 8 case?
As with most any product recommendation, the best one to buy depends on your needs. For clumsy users with unstable grips, a protective case like the OtterBox or Fntcase. Aesthetically inclined shoppers might prefer the abstract design of Pitaka cases or the vast library of Dbrand. Samsung loyalists will love Samsung’s carbon case.
Do Galaxy Z Fold 7 cases fit the Galaxy Z Fold 8?
Previous-generation Z Fold cases will definitely not fit the Galaxy Z Fold 8. With its new, shorter, and wider design, Samsung has created a phone unlike any of its previous foldables.
What screen protector should I get?
If you’re also shopping for a screen protector, I applaud you. Not only is protecting your phone’s body important, but so is shielding its display. You can find a handful of no-name options on Amazon, but I recommend this Spigen option since it’s a brand we’ve tried and trusted before.
